I Will Greet the Sun Again by Khashayar J. Khabushani

4.0

Sincere and tender, this debut novel explores the complicated experience of growing up an immigrant - the family dynamics, diaspora, cultural expectations, and the never-quite-belonging that comes with it. Some quietly devastating moments had me wanting to hold K and tell him that he would be okay.
I thought this was a lovely read, an impressive first publication, and I look forward to what else Khabushani has to offer.
