T.V.: Big Adventures On The Small Screen by Peter Kay

inspiring reflective fast-paced

4.0

Towards the end of November, I was in a bit of an audiobook slump and couldn't settle on one. I have always been a huge fan of Peter Kay and as soon as I decided on this book, it was by far the right decision.

Read by Kay himself, it is a great look into how TV played a role in Peter's life as a child and how his love of the screen started. We hear about how he made his shows; Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere, Car Share and so many other appearances and charity work.

As a fan, it felt wonderful to reminisce over these shows that I loved and I enjoyed that the audio version included clips of the shows. The correspondence between Peter Kay and his hero Ronnie Barker was beautiful and it made the ending even more stunning. It is clear that Peter is very grateful for everything that he has been able to do.

Well worth a read for Peter Kay fans!
