I will say, I couldn't just DNF this one - I applaud Kristin Hannah for that. Every time I almost gave up, I just felt like I had to finish it. As predictable, full of tropes, and unrelatable as it was, I just had to know.
I get the high school love, and I know of folks who fell in love in school and are going strong today. But dear God the relationship between Zach and Lexi was nauseating. Really, nothing made sense about that dynamic... And holy mother of Zeus, Jude is the worst.
Miles was probably the only redeemable character. In a game of shag, marry, kill, he'd make a great second husband for me.
