Devoted in Death
by J.D. Robb
I read this book in 2016 and forgot to mark, so I'm working from an admittedly poor memory.
I really love the character of Eve Dallas and I'm hardly ever disappointed in a story starring her and her merry band of made family. This, #41 in the series, was no different. It brought to light more disparate killers with cold brutality and the hidden warmth of the woman determined and calculated in speaking for the dead of her jurisdiction. This story tracks the twisted love story of killers determined to be together and find that death makes their love more fulfilling. Strange to many but equally true to the characters involved. Always interesting how Ms. Robb brings the reality of the sickness of the characters to light. If you pick up an Eve Dallas mystery you will not be disappointed.
