Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
5.0
How can I really describe this one?
This was a rollercoaster of emotions; I laughed as Ron bickered with Harry and Hermione, calling Harry a Git, anger as Beatrix was torturing Hermione, broken-hearted and in despair as Harry mourned Dobby, crying as Severus dies with Harry by his side, praying alongside the houses as Voldemort descends on the school, in tears again for the Weasleys, and ending in tears again as Harry tells his son about how he was named for two great men; Albus and Severus.
J.K. Rowling disguised a lot of real-life topics in this series and didn't shy away from them as this cast grew from kids to adults but tackled them in a way that not only pushed the story along but was heartfelt and believable.
She has managed to not just write a great series but connected strangers across the globe that very few get to do and to this day, the series is still talked about, reread, and in some cases like mine, read for the first time.
