This was a difficult story to read for many reasons. I loved how it was narrated by our main character Adunni and with her accent and language shining through. It took some getting used to the bad grammar but was written so well. This is a coming of age journey of our Adunni trying to break the cycle of young marriage and slave trading. Her kindness, courage, forgiveness is so inspiring! Looking forward to reading the second book!
