Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
5.0
★★★★.5 rounded up!
Falling in love with Nathan Hawkins was not something I could have planned.
No planner, iPad, or freaking sticker chart could have prepared me for my future.
My imagination isn’t capable of dreaming up this level of happiness.
I was really hesitant to start this book because it seemed really mainstream and I thought it would heavily center around skating and hockey but that wasn't the case! As soon as I finally drew the connection between 'The Cutting Edge' (once of my fav movies btw) and 'Icebreaker', I caved and started it. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I LOVED IT!!!
I fell in love with the characters, especially Nathan. He made my heart and stomach twirl and ache the entire book. He was a MONSTER in bed but what I loved most about him was that he was so attentive in vulnerable situations. A walking green flag.
It took me a while to finally grow fond of Anastasia. Her character development was one of my favorite things about the book. By the end of the book, I love her so much.
I love her and Nates love so much. I want it. In fact, I want my own Nathan Hawkins.
The spice was insane. Like my jaw was ON THE FLOOR WHENEVER THERE WERE SPICY SCENES. Probably my most spicy read to date but I am sure that will change soon.
I love this book and I will absolutely be reading all the other books in the Maple Hills series. I can't wait to read Wildfire!
One thing I take away from this is that I SHOULD PROBABLY STOP LISTENING TO BOOKTOK. I couldn't have been more wrong about this one, she is a GOLDIE!
I also hope Aaron slips trying to land one of his jumps and breaks his ankle and his tailbone.
