Immortal Prince by Susanne Valenti, Caroline Peckham
4.25

Okay well this book destroyed me!!! At first, it felt a little slower than book 1. We finally got some of the men’s POVs, but they were flashbacks. And though they provide very important context for what’s going on, they did slow the pace down.

Book 1 had a lot of forward motion but book 2 felt a little more stagnant for the first 40%. But the ending just blew me away.

I just think the twisted sisters have set up some an interesting world and a very obvious conflict that is going to be very hard to overcome. Cannot wait to see where this story takes us!!!

Spoiler thoughts below:
- I am obsessed with Prince Erik. I came to this series for sexy, dark, vampires and Erik more than delivers. So many moments I was dying over. When he thought she was in the room with Fabian?!!! I squealed!
- and Callie and Magnar ohhhh man. My favorite “trope” is when two characters, who are absolutely not together, act like a married couple. And these two are soooo married. And they slay vampires together! I love them!!
- I love Montana but she does need to get  a grip a little lol. At what point is she going to accept that she absolutely is going to marry a vampire. She keeps being like “this isn’t going to happen” girl it’s happening!!!
- I know Valentina is going to be so important but she better stay away from Callie’s man. I have a feeling that betrothal is going to come back up at some point..
- Dad dying killed me. Just ripped me heart out. I wasn’t expecting it but also I was. So so so so SO SAD. but the catalyst the story needed I think.
- can’t wait for the sisters to see each other again. And save the world from vampires because the prophecy is so clearly about them lol
