The Longest Autumn: A Novel
by Amy Avery
Crawls to an interesting plot, then drops back to a what the ending. The love triangle - the God side just feels tacked on and out of nowhere (his Herald for years and only he is in love?) and the plausible/interesting half of the triangle has an extremely disappointing conclusion. I feel like so many plot points were barely answered (Bix, the Gods draining humans, the souls) and the rest are extremely obvious. And then it all ends! Could have been a 3, for like a few sections.
