Twinkle, Twinkle, Daytime Star by Elizabeth Everett

informative lighthearted reflective fast-paced

4.5

I received an electronic sample of this book from the publisher as a Storygraph giveaway.

The illustrations in this rhyming book are colorful and whimsical at times, as they help break down concepts related to seasonal changes, why it looks like the sun is moving across the sky, and our longer nighttimes.   The children in this informational picture book are diverse in their skin tones and hair textures and their activities will appeal to many including eating cold treats, sledding, and visiting the beach.  The book begins and ends with a young boy in his bedroom, as he seems to talk to the daytime star, the sun.

This would be a good addition to a classroom or other educational setting.  (grades Kindergarten- 2nd grade)

Thanks to Science, Naturally! and Storygraph for the giveway. My ratings and reviews are my own.
