I enjoyed this slightly more than The Empress of Salt and Fortune, maybe because there was more tension in the present, or because while I’ve heard plenty of stories about court drama (and prefer longer ones), I’ve heard hardly anything about tiger/human relationships. This is a cute little novelette about the nature of storytelling.
Moderate: Death, Violence
Minor: Animal cruelty, Animal death
