I love Shari Low’s books so much. This one is part of her collection of books that take place on a single day. These aren’t a series just a set of standalone books with one in the title. For some reason, these books really appeal to me. This particular title is a bit different as it all happens on Christmas Eve but to three different generations of women in three different timelines. Shari Low manages to handle the three different decades perfectly and all three threads weave together in a cohesive plot that seamlessly combines into an exciting ending.

The story has a bit of romance but it isn’t the main focus of the book. I think that’s why I enjoyed this so much. Don’t get me wrong I love a good romance once in a while too but what appealed to me about this book is the fact that it is about relationships, mostly the mother-daughter kind. It also shows that you can love again and it’s never too late to try. I could really relate to some of these situations and to the ladies. They were authentic, realistic, true to life and happy ever after perfection. All. The. Stars.
