I've had some friends who have read or watched Death Note tell me that around this part of the story, the chapters feel like filler. Mainly because of the radical changes in the story. I can see why and in some parts, maybe. It's definitely more comedic than the previous chapters, less tense but then again, it still has moments that make you wonder if Light's plan will succeed or not.

Overall, I'm still engaged and plan to read the next volume.
