So Here's the Thing . . .: Notes on Growing Up, Getting Older, and Trusting Your Gut by Alyssa Mastromonaco

3.0

I loved Alyssa Mastromonaco's first book, and assumed I'd love this one too. I think all I can muster is "like."

I go through podcast listening phases, so I've heard her on plenty of those, and obviously our politics align, and really she's always seemed very fun. I follow her on Twitter. I recommended this book to my sister before I was even done with it. She just feels like one of our people.

That said, the throughline on this book was a little... non-linear. It was fine. I read it in a couple of hours. I guess spending a large chunk of my years in political circles just makes books written by people in political circles extra relatable.
