Alright so, I HATED the main character in the first book of the series, for a multitude of reasons, namely she was dumb as rocks. The start of the book did not change this fact, however, the proximity of her character to Rhysand tricked my brain into thinking she changed, and I eventually liked her again. However, in my lesbian opinion, GODDAMN RHYSAND. That is all I will say on the matter, other than that, the plot picked up but not until the latter half of the book, also
Tamlin had such a strange change of character from the first book, I understand it was explained by the ‘trauma’ he got from watching Feyre die (get a life bro she literally couldn’t read…) but it really gaffe me whiplash reading these back to back.
Overall, liked this a lot more than the first book, and if you’re looking for a book that will make you react for an invisible audience you’ve found it!
