For a series finale, this didn’t wow me at all. Honestly, after finishing the book, I’m positive the series could’ve been written as a trilogy.
This series was essentially building up to this grand finale that took a solid 50% of the final book to even get to and it ended up being underwhelming and a bit rushed.
I almost would’ve rather cut the first half of the book out, focused on the actual war and then gotten the back half as a part two: post war and gotten a glimpse into the re-building of the kingdom.
While I adored Madinia & Asinia’a POV’s (like genuinely looked forward to reading those chapters the most), where tf was Lorian’s POV? I mean we followed Prisca and Lorian through the first three books and then all of the sudden we drastically cut down on Lorian? Idk, felt like a huge loss to me.
Overall, didn’t hate it, but wasn’t super wowed as you can tell.
