I can see this being a YA Netflix show but as a novel, it wasn’t what I expected at all.
I was expecting a standalone YA supernatural romance with a serious and probably sad vibes. It ended up being more fantasy and lighthearted than I thought. It was also surprisingly a… series? That’s probably the most surprising. As a whole, the story feels almost like a Disney YA show.
It’s disappointing tbh but I guess I was expecting too much. The romance is cute though.
