Who is this for? The overarching message here is that when you pray you need to pray to be blessed, which is a fair enough starting point. This quickly devolved into stories about how this man kept having good things happen to him and was significantly less impacted by scripture than I expected. This turned from an intellectual approach to prayer to a “God will make good things happen to you if you believe in him” book which is ridiculously elementary. I’ll give the author credit for sourcing his jumping point from an unpopular part of the Bible, which he acknowledges, however I don’t like the direction this book went.
