Falling for the Highlander by Lynsay Sands

4.5

I really enjoy these Lynsay Sands Highlander romance/mysteries. They're pretty formulaic, or you can guess what is going on, but the characters are enjoyable, the spice level is above average, and they can be really funny.

In this book, Murine's half brother is trying to buy two horses, but he loses his money and tries to give her away to Doogal, the Scot who is selling the horses. Murine decides she needs to escape or her half-brother will try to do worse, and leaves. On the way she runs into Doogal and his brothers, who help her escape. The two of them get together when they all discover she is not only an attractive, competent woman, but she had saved their sister in a previous book.

I look forward to the rest of this series - there are 6. brothers and a sister, so we've got more to go.
