The only thing worthwhile in this book was the audible narrator for my version, who did a great job, I loved her voice, her pacing and interpretation of characters. Besides that, i hope every single one of these characters have a mizerable life, omg what a bunch of wet ass dogs.

The writing was so incredulously repetitive, the author might think the readers have the memory spam of goldfish because WHY are you telling me the same thing over, and over, and over again. I GET IT,
I know that Bri feels betrayed by Sebastian's true life. I get that she's worried about her sister. I get that she think the other guy is hot.

By the middle of the book I legit forgot that her sister being kidnapped was important because it felt like it didn't matter at all. The search for the treasures were so... Inconsequential?? Bri having to wait for the goblin to come get the treasures cut all tension the author tried to build. And then she spends a non descript amount of days training and learning her magic by very generic training montage. No sense of urgency at all.

Every plot point is ✨predictable✨. And when I say every, I mean every. Oh the mirror was telling lies? WOW, GREAT ONE SHERLOCK. All the important people were to betray her? DAMN WASN'T SEEING THAT COMING FROM A MILE AWAY. She had the crown? WOWWWW.

This is poster child of what Romantasy schlop looks like. 2 stars. It was speedrunning generic bingo over here.

(im not normally this mean but this book was just... Ugh)
