Ann Cleeves is one of my new favorite mystery writers. I haven’t made it a priority to read her books but I plan to in the coming year. The Long Call is a new series featuring Matthew Venn and I will for sure be reading the next book when it comes out.
This mystery was such a good, slow burn. There was quite a bit that needed setting up in Matthew’s world so I expect the next entry to move a little more quickly to the action. But this one is worth the read. I was completely immersed in the setting, characters and story.
