eeshybb 's review for:
Heart of Darkness
by Joseph Conrad
This guy wrote a swashbuckling tale of the horrors of African colonization!!
I am indifferent to this book, probably because I would be the subject of the Captain's resentment of "people hurrying through the streets to filch a little money from each other, to devour their infamous cookery, to gulp their unwholesome beer, to dream their insignificant and silly dreams." Unfortunately for Conrad, I will continue to Venmo, devour, gulp, and dream insignificant silly dreams because I'm in my protecting my peace era and the dog in me has been euthanized.
