2.0

A twenty yr old addict prostitute is bought out by five “brothers” who range from mid forties to mid twenties to be their wife as they walk to their home in the mountains. She spends ten days with each of them and falls in love with all of them during that time.

The poppy smoking is unnecessary and takes away so much from the plot and from the book.
The books are written in two to three timelines at a time, and none of them make sense.
Bayn - he’s got a big dick and red braids, he barely likes women and likes rough sex. He likes to be told he’s a good boy but gives absolutely no indication that he’s at all subby. That being said he’s apparently a sex god and is deeply in love with Wil.
Wil is an absolute asshole. He has a wife he abandoned and at some point turned traitor but it’s not explained literally at all. He doesn’t like women much but he apparently loves Lila. He’s always instigating fights and for what.
Ren is an old fart who has a really sad back story and was raised by his gay uncles and apparently he never actually soldiered but his uncles were soldiers so he knows like everything. He’s lonely and wanted a wife really bad. He sings non stop.
Bear is the best character. He’s the kindest and most thoughtful. Unfortunately he’s also an addict of the poppy. He has a lot of trauma from his very very sad background and thinks he’s a monster. He thinks he will never deserve anyone much less Lila and he deeply loves eyan.
Eyan is the absolute most boring character there is. Bayn’s background was boring but Eyans is just so painfully dull i wanted to stop reading the last book. The dedication of Hold was to those who knew Eyan would be worth the wait and he was NOT. He’s so. Fucking. Boring. And so annoying.
Lila is also an addict and she can’t communicate for shit. All she does is cry, get high, and fuck, and hold back all the things she wants to say. She should’ve smacked these men at many points.

If the timeline wasn’t so stupid the book would be a lot better. I’m fine with having flashbacks truly but when they’re told in mixed ways and all it’s really bad. Ruined the experience completely.

Also you’d think the sex would be hotter but it was not.

Bear and Ren are the only good characters.
