"I don’t want to have the terrible limitation of those who live merely from what can make sense. Not I: I want an invented truth. What shall I tell you? I shall tell you the instants. I go too far and only then do I exist and in a feverish way."

wow!!!!! this title is so fitting because this book feels like you're really holding the water of life, boiled down to its pure essence. there's not a single spare word, every line holds so much weight. despite its short length, this book took me a couple days to read because of how hard it was to digest. it demands patience but if you take time to slowly process it, its so rewarding. im in awe, clarice lispector managed to create a surreal visual experience through words. i loved this

“And I have no fear of failure. Let failure annihilate me, I want the glory of falling. My crippled angel who contorts all elusive, my angel who fell from the heavens to the hell where he lives savoring evil.”
