If you like romance books there is no reason for you really not to like this one. I think this book has just caught me at the end of my romance tolerance. How many times can you really be expected to try and like the male lead when any other male character in the book acting the same way would be demonized? Like can we please just get men who respect what women say? Idk especially given the VERY traumatic event the female MC endured how was his behaviour not called out more especially after the third act conflict? I liked them at first but as time went on they both got on my nerves and just didn’t act like real people and i get it’s a romance book but the power of 💕love💕 doesn’t undo that amount of trauma. I think I’m also just sick of abuse being an inappropriately used plot point/character trait to be solved by the love of the male MC. Anyways I’m probably just being over critical but it’s a fun read if you don’t really care about that stuff.
Moderate: Toxic relationship, Violence, Kidnapping, and Stalking
It’s not explicit but holy hell is it a 180 from the rest of the mood of the book. I am not personally triggered by these topics but even i had to but the book aside for a second and just sit because the even it just so unexpected and very traumatic
