I love a romance novel with substance, and this definitely fits in that category! After her parents cut off her trust fund payments, Eve Brown drives off, looking for a job and a place to live. She just so happens to stumble upon a B&B that’s hiring a cook, she just so happens to know how to cook, and the owner of the B&B just so happens to be the sexy but grumpy type. This book hits all the romance-novel beats but gives us the points of view of two neurodiverse main characters (one with autism, one undiagnosed) who have distinct personalities and family and friends and baggage that’s not just about their neurodiversity. This is wide-open-door. Recommended for those who like Helen Hoang and Abby Jiminez.
