Rutherford and Fry's Complete Guide to Absolutely Everything (Abridged) by Adam Rutherford, Hannah Fry

3.0

Rutherford and Fry's Complete Guide to Absolutely Everything is obviously, not, but instead is a series of pop-science essays.

Each chapter delves into a different part of the universe, or more specifically, the human experience of it. From how we perceive time, emotions, and colours - and whether animals experience them in the same way - to how we've evolved to be perfectly suited to our planet, Everything gives a little insight into being human. It's written in a chatty, easy style, although some chapters feel a little more naturally flowing than others.

As with many pop-science books, it simplifies and glosses over things, but it's a fairly accessible introduction to many different parts of science. I'd recommend to those interested.
