This book is a powerful example of how storytelling can be both transportive and informative - shedding light on the historical and ongoing impacts of systemic racism, offering education and humanization. It was brutal to read at times, but also impactful and important. The ending had me completely hooked. Days later, I’m still haunted by this brilliant ghost story.
