I wanted to like this more than I did. This was my first John Green novel and, having heard much about his books for years, I expected it to be better, in terms of story and writing. It was fine, and I enjoyed it well enough, but the foreshadowing was so obvious I knew from the beginning what was going to happen, which took me out of the journey. Now, admittedly I'm not the target age demographic, but I've read more than my fair share of YA novels and have experienced that which is lacking here.
