Bradbury Stories: 100 of His Most Celebrated Tales by Ray Bradbury

2.0

If you are at all interested in reading Bradbury's short fiction, I highly recommended reading the original collections and not this one. Books like The Martian Chronicles and Dandelion Wine are a series of short stories that are thematically linked and have so much more resonance when read in the intended order. Also, Bradbury has several different writing personalities - sometimes sentimental, sometimes disturbing, sometimes pure literary - and it simply doesn't work tossing them all together in this way.

Skip this collection; read The Martian Chronicles, October Country, Illustrated Man, Body Electric, etc. instead.
