⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was incredible! It was my first Takerra Allen read, and after hearing so many great things about both her and this book, I had to see what all the hype was about. I’m happy to say the hype was completely justified.

I absolutely loved the way Takerra wrote this story. While I’m typically not a fan of books that switch between past and present timelines, there’s a delicate balance that needs to be struck. Takerra nailed it. She expertly intertwined the past and present pieces of this complex relationship, giving readers a complete and compelling picture.

Tahli is a strong, ambitious, and loving person. While she has her flaws, she’s also a wonderful friend, and her friendship group is equally remarkable. They stand by each other and understand each other’s dynamics, which adds a layer of depth to the story.

Vin, on the other hand, is a complex character. I loved the way he loved Tahli. Despite everything they went through, the love he had for her was undeniable. I felt a range of emotions for him as a character—at times, he straddled the line between love and hate. However, his loyalty was unwavering, which made me root for him.

I’m so grateful to have entered the world of Takerra Allen, and I’m excited to see what the next installment brings!
