This is an amazing finale to the series. It's not too action-packed that's it overwhelming, but it not overly inundated with exposition either. I still loved all of the characters and their growth from the first book is phenomenal.
The only thing I don't like is that Dara didn't really get a full redemption arc especially in the general public's eye. It was kind of disappointing especially since he did do so much to fix his wrongs, but I do think
sending him to collect slave relics was the perfect move for his character and for him to feel better about himself. I did think he was going to die and become the hero that was lost which would reunite him with his family, but I do agree that his character would have chosen this route so I don't mind this ending for him at all.

I all, I really liked this series and loved seeing the characters grow so much even within one book and then to look back on the entire series from where they started is just perfect. I like that the ending has a little bit of a realistic edge to it where the characters didn't get everything they wanted but they each got enough and are happy with the outcome. Such a beautiful series and I look forward to rereading it some day.
