I can’t remember the last time I read a book this fast. Callum is now in my top 5 possessive and obsessed MMC. I loved how Emery doesn’t take shit from him, and doesn’t hesitate to put him back into his place when he needs to.
The dynamic and the tension between the two was so good. I mean… Marriage of convenience is one of the best tropes. I had to highlight every single time he says “My wife”. The spice was a five out of five.
Let’s not forget the banter and the plot twists. After reading Perfect Strangers and Ruthless creatures, I knew that this story would not disappoint. There's a lot of funny scenes, but a particular one (no spoiler) made me laugh out loud.
