To me, it did not matched the hype of the first book which I adore. Some of the elements surrounding the siege felt dragged whereas some the relationship felt superficial and nonsensical at times

. It also felt like teenage drama at times. 
Reading this book got me feeling that so many blind spot were out of reach e.g.

the kandra spy

. THE INTRIGUE WAS CERTAINLY INTRIGUING. 
Finally, I didnt fully understand the finale. Was it rushed or was it too complex? I might reread the last chapter and the epilogue.
