This was a fun read and also kind of a "sci-fi primer" for people who don't read a lot of it. Explores all kinds of ethical puzzles involved with artificial clones without going too far down the rabbit hole. I usually use the three star rating for quick reads that I enjoy, but I am bumping this one up to four stars because after abandoning Klara and the Sun I have new a appreciation for being able to write darkly without depressing the hell out of your reader.
