Well not quite as good as the first one, successful job of delving deeper into fire nation history
and teaching us more about avatar Ang''s predecessors. I felt it did fall into a couple of tropes at times, especially between avatar
Kyoshi and her relationships
with a couple of different people. However, I found the end satisfying, and the return of an ensemble group of characters from the first book was welcome towards the end and all too short. Still, a fun read as a fan!
