I did not know what I was getting into with this book. Its description is inaccurate, it's not just psychological, but gut wrenchingly sad. Yes there's romance and it probably falls along the lines of "dark romance", however I don't think this fully fits this book. I read it within about 12 hours, which is a feat with a toddler who demands attention like no tomorrow, and I genuinely think it'll be stuck in my head for days. It's completely unsuspecting until a few chapters in when you think you've got the twist and you know what's coming, and then you get at least 4 more twists and each one just makes you more sad and endears you more to the main characters. Highly recommend
