Really enjoyed this book! However, a few things held it back from a higher rating.

Here’s what I loved:
1) Representation of anxiety disorder in Jacob, this was really so well-written and I loved the care that Briana took when making plans with Jacob to be respectful of his anxiety and help him feel more comfortable.
2) Storyline of CKD and awareness for kidney transplant/organ donor needs - this was very interesting and not something I have seen in a novel before!

Fake dating, letter writing (the best part I think?!), forced proximity, one bed, cinnamon roll hero.

SPOILERS ABOUND BELOW, PROCEED WITH CAUTION:
⚠️⚠️⚠️

TW/CW ⚠️ previous infidelity with ex, previous miscarriage, on-page anxiety/panic attack, accidental pregnancy, depression, chronic kidney disease.

1) Miscommunication (or maybe just lack of communication and therefore, misunderstanding) was a strong factor for >50% of the book
2) You’re telling me these two 30-something doctors never talked about birth control or insisted on using a condom their first time having sex??? 🤨 absolutely no conversation about it???
3) There was a lot of 3rd and even 4th act drama, I wish I had more time at the end to see them happy together! I felt like bringing the past miscarriage up so close to the end of the book felt like it was just used as another plot twist rather than showing character development/growth? Idk hard to explain!
