I first read this series in my twenties, and I'm now reading this again at age 31. Overall, it holds up quite a lot. I now understand Katniss to be an aroace character, even if that wasn't the author's intention. That reading has added a new dimension and flavor to the narrative. The chapters are masterfully crafted, and I don't think the author ever got enough credit for the skillfulness of her writing.
