The Solace of Sharp Claws by Lana Pecherczyk

Laurel deals with PTSD from Bones (shares that with Clarke). Laurel is stubborn and a secret softie once you break through her barriers. These two qualities are something both her and Thorne share. Thorne has built barriers because he felt abandoned by Rush, his father, and because he made an attachment to Jasper but he went missing. Consequently, Thorne did not want to let anybody in or trust again.

This book explores Thorne and Laurel's relationship and how through it they've learned things about themselves.Thorne heals his relationship with his father because Laurel opens his mind to it. Also, Laurel soothes him and tells him she'll show him how to love and that he'll never be alone again. Furthermore, Laurel is empowered by Thorne to be more strong than she's ever been. She makes power moves and has a sharp mind. Together they make a beautiful pair.

P.S. Willow (Rush and Clarke's daughter) is so cute
