Plato makes some unusual and incorrect arguments but engaging with him in dialogue is the goal. his comparison of the well-ordered individual with the well-ordered state is comparable with the Orthodox understanding of icons, as the state is the image of the heavenly court of God along with the church and the family - a "fractal" nature to reality.
