Drowning In The Dark by Pippa DaCosta

5.0

Wow... That was... Whoa. My mind is still reeling from the events of this book. Seriously, talk about an adrenaline filled adventure from start to finish. Even the snow moments of this book were fast paced and thrilling. I'm torn between DROWNING IN THE DARK being my favourite book in the series now, though DEVIL MAY CARE still has a strong hold on my heart. They're both so good! The series is definitely taking a darker turn, however. After the previous book kind of stumbled for a clear storyline, this one knew exactly what it was setting out to do, and achieved that goal in spades. The story was powerful and gripping, the characters more exciting than ever, the stakes higher, and a mind-blowing final battle. There were a couple things I predicted when I likely shouldn't have, but there was a huge twist at the end which I didn't see coming. Honestly, it's getting to the point where I don't see how anything can go right for Muse, Stefan (and I am totally Team Stefan), and the rest of the gang, but I'm hoping things work out the way I want them to! This is an amazing series and I can't wait to see how it all wraps up. Urban fantasy fans need to check this one out ASAP!
