Be warned this book has:
-Cool magic system.
-Hating to love romance.
-Morally grey characters.
-Charming prince.
-Brooding grumpy Character.

So typically I loved it.

4.5 stars,
Althought it took me a bit to get into the book(hence the half star), the story started strong enough to keep me going.

I liked how Markus loved his family. That appeared from the beginning and I appreciated it. These brothers were the best.
I liked Kellen from the beginning as well.

He gave me Nickolai's vibe when he was in the pit and that alone could make me read a book.

I thought I hated Ren but her first scene with Derek was hilarious. I loved those two although I still didn't like Ren for a long time(away from being a sarcastic badass because I loved that).

I liked how Kellen always tried to make her better not just agree with her to make her like him.

Ren and kellen dancing! I was like "Aren't you liking totally different people?!"

I didn't care about Adley. Mostly, I wanted her gone but in the last part that changed but still that was the weakest point of view in my opinion.


I really appreciate how the author switched points of view so seamlessly.

The last part had me really hooked and the whole book was a page turner.I loved when the four characters got together a lot.



I am considering there will be next part *not accepting it as standalone* and I am really waiting to see how the author would use the shadow part and really hoping Kellen gets more role.I loved the guy if you can't tell
