4.5

Ferrante’s style of writing is vividly captivating and honest abt the variety of possibilities that transpire from boys and girls who grew up together in the same town. The author  shares a unique yet seemingly universal tale of the way that distance can knowingly grow between childhood best friends although neither make an effort to change it. The emphasis on reality vs. theory when it comes to social conditions and potential is also highlighted & beautifully crafted through the characters and their day to day.
