This was a disappointment. I expected more.
I was completely bored by the end of the book and the ending felt rushed. Even the romance was awful. Angelfall is the best book in this series and the sequels just couldn’t top it.
There are a lot of unanswered questions. Like why did the angels visit earth in the first place? And does their god really exist?
I didn’t even like the ending. Raffe’s sacrifice felt meaningless. In fact, the whole book felt meaningless. The sixers, the angel plague and everything else felt like a bunch of shit made up in the last moment. I expected a different ending where Raffe becomes the Messenger, punishes Uriel’s angels and kinda makes the peace w humans by starting to repair earth?
At least I finished the book, so that’s saying something.
