I mostly enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed the first half. The storyline was fast paced which kept me hooked, but I wish the love triangle was over with. I really disliked one specific scene towards the end where I felt like there was infidelity.
I understand coming from Isla’s point of view since Grim wiped her memories of their whole relationship and then she was falling in love with Oro without any of that knowledge. So she didn’t remember the things that had taken place with Grim while she was falling in love with Oro and it’s hard to just switch off feelings I’m sure, but it was still heart wrenching and I wasn’t a fan of that scene. It could have been handled differently. Don’t do my boy Grim like that, and Oro doesn’t deserve that either.
I am team Grim 1000%. That man loves her and loves every part of her exactly for who she is. Oro is also a great person, just not Isla’s person.
I like where the storyline itself is going as a whole, but I hope the next book solidifies the end of the triangle. PLEASE!
Will I pick up the next book? Absolutely.
“There was something about him seeing the worst of her — and not flinching”
“If loving you this much is my downfall then consider me already on my knees”
“If killing thousands to keep you alive is wrong, then consider me a villain”
“I’m not sure of much in this world, Isla, but I am sure of this. My love for you doesn’t know reason. It doesn’t know limit. It doesn’t know death. In every universe, every timeline, I am yours…and you are mine”
