Ride by Harper Dallas

This one came highly recommended from someone whose opinion on romance matters a lot to me (hiiii Lucia!) so I was very eager going into this one. It did NOT disappoint. It's one of the better NA/Contemporary Romance books I've read (is this one even considered NA?) - characters who are fleshed out and well written, a scenario that's interesting and not overly contrived. Surprisingly, it didn't even fall into any of the tropes I tend to be drawn to (fake dating, hate-to-love, a wedding) and yet it's still an absolute fave. Our main character was, for me, relatable beyond belief. Some things she thought/felt struck quite close to home. I liked the glimpse into Chase's POV at the very end, though it left me wanting a bit more. I would have loved this to have included both POVs, because he was an interesting love interest!, although I wouldn't change a thing. I do think it was effective to only have Brooke's, as it allowed me as the reader to feel her emotions very strongly because we knew only as much as SHE did. I was particularly fond of Dallas's writing style and the lyrical-yet-sexy nature of her smut scenes!
