The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu

This was a really cool book. A decent amount of this views the story from a zoomed out perspective and covers a lot of ground relatively quickly. It uses this style to offer some interesting themes about power dynamics, gender roles, marriage, friendship and many more. I enjoyed the sweeping nature even if it’s not something I’m used to. I probably knocked off half a star just because I want a little more fleshing out of the cast of characters but I think that will come with the sequels. Very interested to see where this goes!
