The Time Traveler's Wife

I really tried because I thought the concept was interesting and it could have been really cute but I just can't root for the romance. The age gap dynamic just felt so uncomfy and predatory and I just don't understand why he can't time travel with his clothes on because I feel like a lot of the conflicts would have been resolved easily if that wasn't the case.
I was going to tolerate the age gap. It's silly but honestly I was so annoyed with how careless they were about lottery money and stocks. And that made it feel like they had no stakes in their relationship and in their life at all, which was already true because she was a trust fund baby and didn't have to work and I really wanted to be excited about her artist career, but they didn't talk about it nearly enough. Clare's only personality trait was that she loved Henry and that's all her life has ever been. So that sucks.
