All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles
emotional
mysterious
4.0
i’m currently writing this with tears in my eyes because oh my god, what an emotional journey. catherine cowles is definitely the romantic suspense queen.
it took me a little while to get fully immersed into this story, but once i did there was nothing that would hold me back. colt and ridley’s dynamic was amusing, precious and so incredibly loving. and i have to say, the whole suspense/unsub element in this book particularly felt like her best one yet to me, as someone who has read more than 3 different series from cowles. i loved how it all connected, how huge it all was, that it made everything even more scary and urgent.
now, i have to say that one of the things that made this book so great to me were all the secondary characters. all of them, and their own respective relationships with both colt and ridley made this romance feel so much bigger. i cared for every single one. and i know this is a standalone, but damn how i hope we get more from this town. (also, shady cove? lol, it’s shady alright)
and to wrap it up, if you’re like me that loooove romance books but sometimes misses the danger and risk that comes with thrillers, i HIGHLY recommend reading catherine cowles’s books and all the missing pieces is the perfect story to start off with.
